Fluorescein angiography (FA) is performed with equipment called Retinal Camera or Heidelberg engineering HRA Angiograph – OCT Spectralis. It is a diagnostic test that requires pupil dilation and the intravenous application of a dye called Sodium Fluorescein.

It is an exam that studies the circulatory system of the retina, where the vascular structures found in the back of the eye are visualized, allowing the diagnosis of pathologies such as macular degeneration, hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy, among others.

Exam taking times:

Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Delivery of results:

Results will be available 3-5 business days after the exam is taken.
